Arthur had his 9-month check today. He weighs 18 pounds even. A little on the small side, but perfectly healthy.

Here is my sweet ~~little~~ 9-month-old Penelope. All 23 pounds, 12 ounces of her. Oh how I miss those rubberband wrists! And don’t even get me started on her legs.

At best, when comparing Penelope and Arthur’s pictures, they look like cousins. I can’t believe how different they are.. temperament, appearance, preferences, development, etc. I really am starting from scratch with Arthur. It’s fun to have such a different experience!

Casey, however, remains slightly unkempt.. just how I like him ;)

My little fella’ is four months old today!

He continues to be one of the happiest babies I have ever encountered. His needs are almost always predictable, he sleeps great, and he loves to cuddle. What more could a mama want for?! He has a doctor’s appointment (and shots, boo!) next week, so I’ll update with stats then. By all accounts he is growing well, discovering the world around him, and just a wonderful little guy to be around.

We’re starting to notice his desire to move.. which isn’t something we observed in Penelope till she was about a year old. Arthur wants to be where she is, so he wiggles as best he can, to keep her in sight. I have a feeling she will have a shadow in no time. Good thing she likes an audience.

Arthur is three-months-old (and weighs in at 14lbs, 4oz.)

He is such a fun little boy to be around. He’s sweet, social, happy, and easygoing. He started pushing all the way up on his two hands, so I have a feeling he’ll be an early mover.

I love his expression in this picture.. so casual, he looks like a teenager saying “ok, mom, we done here?”

Art isn’t his happy-go-lucky self the past few days. I should’ve taken his two month pictures BEFORE vaccinations. Oh well :)

penelope had her well check today. she’s doing great. just the usual post-vaccination fuss fest.

height: 32 inches (95th percentile)

weight: 26 lbs (88th percentile)

she started saying “uh-oh!” last night in the bath, whenever her toy fell in the water. okay.. really, whenever she smashed the poor thing into the water, mercilessly. an innocent “uh oh (did i do that?)” followed.

i think we’re on the verge of a language explosion… she’s starting to mimic just about every tone/sound we make. like today in the doctor’s office. casey and i were whispering (why do we always do that in doctor’s offices? is it just us? strange.) and penelope started whispering, too. we got a good laugh out of it.

okay. she’s eating a stray cheerio, leftover from this morning.. off the floor. at least i hope it’s from this morning. and i hope it’s a cheerio. better go.
