Baby Quilt
March 10, 2011
In a matter of days, I will be an Auntie.
I finished Allie’s quilt just in time. It has plenty of imperfections, but I had a lot of fun sewing it. Now all that’s left to do is to meet and cuddle that sweet girl. I’m really beside myself with excitement. A swaddled little newborn again? And no labor? Oh yes, this is good.
So pray for Ryan & Beth, they’re at that exciting “Wait, was that a real contraction? Is it time?!” stage. And soon everything will change, in the best of ways.
It is a really simple patchwork pattern. I think next I’d like to tackle something a little more elaborate. Like maybe this or this? (via girlCasey)

SO cute! Love it.
And I LOVE LOVE LOVE my quilt. No doubt it’ll be family heirloom and with our daughter for a long time. I have visions of her taking it to college with her to put on her bed. We can’t wait for you to be an auntie and hold our little love!! Thanks again for all of your hard work on her beautiful quilt!!
Oh I love it! Great job! :)
Absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful gift.
WOW! Love it. Can I copy that? That would make awesome Christmas presents and if I start now, I could actually do it…
Do it, Anne! And post pictures, I’d love to see ‘em :).
