walking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

penelope took her first steps today! i was, of course, napping. casey just called her over to him, and she walked! she’s been practicing ever since. even when she should be sleeping.. like right now :). i can hear her pacing back and forth in her crib, and laughing when she falls. gotta love all the practice time that babies log in their cribs.

casey is a very proud daddy, so happy that she took her first steps for him.

she maxes out at five or six steps, and we share a good giggle. i thought she would be more timid about it, but really she’s excited.

just before bedtime i took a gratuitious amount of video. i think grandparents were secretly hoping she’d hold out and walk for them in california…

Maybe you can teach her to fetch things for you if you’re feeling too yucky to get off the couch :) She is too cute, and now she will be walking when she’s here. How much fun. Laurie and I can chase her while you get some rest :) We got the family room painted and it looks great. Still have to repaint the ceiling white but that’s easy. It’s coming along for sure!

    Alicia and Casey,

Wow! She is really walking well for the first day! Just wait she will be all over the place and running before you know it! It is so exciting! I understand that congratulations are in order too! I hope all goes well and smoothly. I am sure Wesley and Beth will be more than willing to help out.

I hope you all have a wonderful trip to California and enjoy time with your families. Remember kids don’t always perform when we want them to! But she will when you least expect it. Have fun!

I am really happy for you!

    Sally
